Somehow, the blog hasn’t just taken a back seat, it’s practically in the boot!
But that’s probably a good thing as it means I’m too busy writing and designing and running my business to find time to put into my own creative space.
I can’t remember the last time I wrote about writing, but in spite of COVID-19 I’m still getting published. My latest contribution has been to latitude magazine – a beautiful home feature and a story on fine art photographer, Rewa Rendall.
Isn’t it typical though – snap the pic and realise afterwards the camellia leaf has been smashed by insects!
In the meantime, I’m feeling grateful I contribute to a smaller boutique magazine, one that’s owned by locals, written by locals and photographed by locals but read across the land.
My thoughts are with all those who have lost their livelihood with the collapse of so many of New Zealand’s most-loved magazines during lockdown.
